Course Summary
Accelerate to English 10 helps develop essential reading and writing skills for success in English 10. Students will focus on analyzing literary devices, persuasive techniques, structure, and language through active and close reading to support their written analysis.
By the end of this course, you will be able to do the following: Apply reading strategies to closely read literary and informational texts. Analyze how structure, language, and literary elements work together to create meaning in a variety of texts and genres. Examine the elements of an argument to make inferences supported by textual evidence. Defend and challenge the author’s claims using relevant textual evidence. Write and revise an argumentative text
